As a native New Yorker who’s frequented my Jamaican homes of coworkers throughout the years, I would say my palate is fairly versed in this type of food. Today my wife had a taste for Jamaican food, and there aren’t many options in Pa.. She searched and found Lighthouse and told me it was 30 minutes away and I said ok, let’s go. I expected high prices because that’s a standard for Jamaican cuisine, but we were not expecting the heavy handed pepper ?️ flavor throughout both dishes. I've dined here several times, and during my first visit, the food was incredibly spicy—almost too much to handle! I mentioned this to the ladies at the counter, and they took note. The next time I returned, the spice level was much better. Today, the jerk chicken was cooked to perfection! The staff are always friendly and remember me as a repeat customer. The food is delicious, and I highly recommend the rice and peas along with the plantain, as well as the jerk chicken—it’s perfectly spiced. If you find the spice too intense, just let them know, and they will be happy to adjust it, as they did for me. Since then, it hasn't been an issue at all!

I had the stew beef which i loveeeeee most Jamaican restaurants don't have it and only have the chickenAnd it's pretty spicy but I'm not complaining i love spicy food i had it with plantains which was nice and soft (Thankyou for that) most places sweet plantains are super hard and not ripe the rice is amazing my only complaint is my stew beef had carrots and potatoes which was hard as a rock and didnt get a chance to cook properly. I also love that they always have callaloo which is the best thing ever the day i tried it omg it changed my life. love this place best in the town

The mac and cheese was dry and lacked flavor. I couldn't enjoy the rice and peas because there were small pieces of bone that kept getting stuck in my mouth. I asked for callaloo but was given cabbage instead. I will never order from here again; I ended up throwing that meal in the trash. Reserva una mesa ahora

I placed my order online, but when I arrived, it hadn't been received. I found the mac and cheese to be a bit dry, but the jerk chicken was absolutely outstanding! I think adding some fresh paint, better lighting, and music would really lighten up the atmosphere of the place.

The curry goat and oxtail with rice and peas were fantastic. The jerk chicken had a nice kick to it, but it was incredibly delicious! I would appreciate if the spice level could be toned down a bit, though.

Food was DISGUSTING. Jerk Chicken was unrecognizable, dry, and hard as a brick. Rice was dry, beans were hard, and the cabbage was an off color. DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE!

The jerk pork was a bit too salty, and both the plantains and pork had a greasy texture. However, the rice and peas were really good.

I was looking for Jamaican food after my flight. Well let me tell you,the oxtail is off the hook and the Chicken!!!
