The Mad Hatter Tea Room

I brought my dil today for a late birthday celebration. We both loved it! The grounds were beautiful to enjoy as we waited for our table, you don't even notice that there is a major road in front. I am on a gluten free diet and my food was outstanding! I was so impressed that I actually got the same items as her, minus the gluten. I was not expecting that! We sampled 6 teas and can't wait to go back and try more. The one thing that I would change is that you use the same tea cup throughout, it would have been nice to have the cups rinsed when we changed teas so that flavors don't mix. We ended up pouring some of our ice water into the cup to rinse it out.

Was there for a special event in the library room. Charming decoration, love Alice in Wonderland and was happy to find treasures in the shop on the second floor! Our menu was planned in advance: typical tea style with sandwiches and scones, desserts, but started with a soup! It was amazing, seriously the best chicken wild-rice style I had. Everything was very good. The teas were well and beautifully presented. Excellent place for a special meeting. Do not think that a “Tea” is not a filling meal. It was very satisfying and there was food left. No one was hungry. I couldn't even polish the little desserts!

I had a wonderful time yesterday in Mad Hatter with my aunt and grandmother. I've been there before, but for her it was her first time. None of them have been to Anoka before! They drove an hour for tea and brunch, and for all three of us it was definitely worth it! The food was amazing. The tea was fresh and tasteful. The decor was really funny (Halloween themed). The service was friendly. We spent about 4 hours enjoying each other, and it was the perfect setting. I will definitely return and recommend the Mad Hatter to anyone who asks.

We love this restaurant! The house is beautiful, and the surroundings on the river are so beautiful. We enjoy visiting the gift shop above before dinner. We just celebrated the 13th. Birthdays of our daughter and friends with a tea dinner there and had the best time! Our server, food and tea were fabulous!

We had the queen's tea and tea. Both were divine! The attention to detail on preparation and presentation along with the flavors were wonderful. It was one of the best tea experiences I had in the area. Very recommended.
