I was really looking forward to Sunday dinner in the Pheasant as I had read some really good reviews. Unfortunately our experience did not even come close to what I was expecting! I ordered the sirloin beef roast, however, I was told there was no beef or pork left, only chicken. Not a great start, although we did arrive at 5pm, so maybe after the Sunday lunch rush, but I would still expect a full roast menu to be available as it’s not that late really! So, I opted for chicken. We also ordered chicken strips and chips for the children and my partner ordered a Camembert and billionaire fries. We were first timers to the pheasant inn and was really looking forward to it as it looked lovely and the menu was really good,we were told there was no mash which was a part of both our meals only to be replaced with a small cube of dauphinois potatoes,the meals were very underwhelming,then our desserts came out cold which were replaced with two more which were barely luke warm,the staff never once tended to us to ask if everything was ok,a family was on a neighbouring table,after they left,the crayons and paper was left on the floor and were still there by the time we left which was an hour later, overall a very disappointing experience which is such a shame because the pheasant itself is...
Yet another beautiful meal we all enjoyed, you really can't go wrong in here! Beautiful place, parking, lovely ambience, amazing food and service from the waitress Jackie was unbelievable! She knows the menu inside out which is a bonus for somebody fussy as me. She gave great advice and helped me choose a beautiful meal that I thoroughly enjoyed. She has a lovely tone, smiley, puts you at ease, has a nice way about her. She knows the job inside out from serving to clearing away, advice on wine to go with our food, she made our lovely little afternoon a fabulous experience
The pheasant was recommended to us by friends so decided to go for Sunday lunch. Lovely restaurant, service was fantastic and had a really nice feel to it. Mollie our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the menu we have a few allergies and she put our minds at ease, she seemed to know exactly when we needed her and kept popping to the table like Mary Poppins at exactly the right time time. Will definitely visit again.

I had a wonderful meal on a Sunday at this restaurant. The main dishes were mostly roast dinners, but there was also a good portion of fish and chips available. The drinks selection included a variety of beers. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. It took a bit of time to be served at the bar. Unfortunately, I was seated near the door and felt a bit chilly at times.
We made a reservation for Sunday lunch at The Pheasant as it tends to get busy; I wanted to ensure we had a table. We were warmly welcomed by Jackie who provided excellent service. The food, prepared by Flo, was exceptionally delicious. I highly recommend dining at The Pheasant, especially if you are lucky enough to have Jackie taking care of you.
The food and service were fantastic as always, the location is fabulous and the staff are always welcoming. This is our favorite place to eat, always our top choice.
Me and my family came for Sunday lunch, the food was great and the service was fast and friendly. I would very much recommend for the family.
