The restaurant has recently switched from using a professional bagel slicing machine to hand cutting a dozen bagels. When I mentioned that their decision to stop using the machine was creating extra work for them, the server informed me that it wasn't broken, they just found it too loud. Now, customers have to wait for uneven hand cut bagels that don't fit in the toaster. It's a puzzling decision.
Waited in line for 20 minutes, when I was called up to order I asked to get a dozen of the bagels that were clearly there, and was then denied service because they didn 't have enough to sell a dozen even though they had more than enough in the display case. Went to try big apple bagels down the street instead for the first time. Much better service and frankly better product too.
The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance, but I was disappointed with the breakfast bagel. It seemed like the microwave was heavily relied on in preparing the food, which is not ideal. A toasted bagel would have been more flavorful, and the eggs appeared to be processed rather than fresh. The sausage seemed to be turkey sausage, although it was not explicitly mentioned.
Self serve with free coffee refills and of course great bagels and sandwiches. Queue sometimes long at early hours but efficient ordering. Most customers take out so plenty of seating with some electric outlets for phone charging. Free WiFi and clean wash room. Good prices. Reserva una mesa ahora
Besides having fresh bagels each day, they have pastries/donuts. My favorite is getting one of their crepes with eggs and cheese. The owner is very friendly and also donated to castro Valley school district which is nice. Give them a try!
The jalapeño cheddar bagel is really good. Crispy on top and chewy in the center. The bagel has a lot of bite and texture. They also don’t skimp on the cream cheese. House coffee was just okay but the food is legit.
The wait was worth it at this busy restaurant. I ordered a sesame seed bagel toasted with cream cheese and it was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be returning, maybe as soon as tomorrow morning!
Their bagels are really good. I like their breakfast ones or BLT. The staff called me once saying they were out of cheese and asked if I wanted something else. Was really nice. : Reserva una mesa ahora
Super amazing plus a lot of other varieties like crepes, smoothies, wraps, sandwiches, etc.
