My partner and I visited Ambleside for a 3 day break for his birthday on 9th Oct 2020. And we found this little goldmine on our door step. We ate here and the food was amazing. Staff very friendly and nothing was too much for them. Compliments to the ‍ on his food. And a big shout out to Sarah front of house who is an asset to your team very professional in her job. Louise was amazing also we had many a laugh and of course jack too very friendly. They all made our three days very special. Best pub in Ambleside. We will be back. Martin &Mandi. X

traditional pub, we weren't for one because when we stay, we always go in this pub. but it began to see very tatty...but not anymore. .it is now on the look for fab and it has not been spoiled by being too modern, it has held it charming, but is now very well furnished. the beer and eating were always good and that has not changed.

the view of the native is one of the oldest buildings in ambleside. a good traditional pub serves a good selection of beating through hard work friendly staff. yes, it has a small kitchen, but what they serve is good standard Fayre.

excellent meal value for money. a beautiful pint to boot excellent staff very friendly wonderful ambiente will definitely come back
