A couple of weeks ago I had a craving for Thai, and because there is so many options in the Richmond/Abbotsford area I did a fair bit of research before deciding on a restaurant. The Seasoning House won out and I was not disappointed! I ordered beef massaman curry, coconut rice roti bread. The curry was probably the best massaman curry I’ve ever had rich with flavour and cooked beautifully. The sweet potato in this dish adds an extra sweetness to the meal. The coconut rice and roti was also good. The serving size for the roti was very generous (enough for 2 3 people if sharing). Location was quiet easy to find just on Victoria street. Stopped by earlier today and enjoyed three shared dishes. Ordered pad Thai, Tom yum and green curry served by a very friendly staff member. Tom yum was slightly watered down but still managed to provide the right balance of flavour. However, the green curry was a little more disappointing missing a lot of the flavour. I'd recommend using more coconut milk and green chilli to get that rich green color in the paste.The feedback I got from my guest on the Pad Thai was great.Worth mentioning that the customer service made our experience really enjoyable.The price was reasonable, bill coming up to around 50 AUD.Recommended for casual dining
I wasn't sure what to expect when we came for lunch here, but we were warmly greeted and given advice on the vegan options available - of which there were about 10. We ordered the ginger soy wild mushroom ($15.60) and the mixed vegetable stir-fry ($15.60). Both dishes were good, but the mushroom dish was especially delicious and a new Thai favorite for me. The staff were attentive and helpful, so I returned two more times this week to try the spicy drunken noodles ($14.90) and the vegetable pad thai ($14.90), both of which were also tasty. The tamarind sauce was perfectly balanced - not too sweet. The portions were generous and reasonably priced.
I recently dined at The Seasoning House, a new Thai street food restaurant on Victoria Street in Richmond. Our meal was fantastic. We ordered the grilled pork, crispy duck red curry, and prawn tom yum soup. All of the dishes were bursting with flavor and the staff was very friendly. The prices were reasonable and affordable. I recently enjoyed dinner at this restaurant and highly recommend it to anyone in the area. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is warm and beautiful. The dishes are perfectly balanced, light yet flavorful, and the portions are generous for the prices. I personally recommend trying the beef soup and arancini balls!
I would have given this restaurant 5 stars if the app allowed it. This is the first Thai restaurant I have found in Melbourne that caters to my partner (who is gluten-free) and also offers vegan options for me without any mix-ups like fish sauce. The food was really delicious and I was very satisfied.
We love this place for its fresh food, excellent service and delicious Thai milk tea! We have tried a few Thai restaurants in the area and have to say the Seasoning House offers the best quality food. It’s spacious and very clean, great for family with kids. Will definitely come back!
