The Ship Inn - Reservar una mesa

this week was booked as a birthday contract. eating was excellent as always and the ship was busy, which is a good sign. Apart from the manager who wished a happy birthday at our arrival, I was a little disappointed that nothing was offered extra to make our day really special. so I could suggest if the administration know that a special opportunity is booked, they could offer something free from the kitchen, write happy birthday on the dessert plate or even run to a glass prosecco, of which we all enjoyed in other restaurants nearby. it was an excellent lunch, but there was something missing.

15 of us called in for lunch as part of a U3A cycling group, having booked in advance. The ambience was lovely, there was good menu, and the service was quick and faultless. Jan was friendly and cheerful to deal with both on the phone and on the day. I would recommend this pub whole heartedly.

we stayed at the lunch party of six, booked in the morning. many choices on the menu, excellent wine card and local ale from dartmoor brewery very cordial greeting from the personal and excellent service, that was eating both in the presentation and in the taste breathtaking

Nice atmosphere, warm and clean. Starters very nice. Mains all excellent however the Baileys cheesecake was the smallest slice imaginable and definitely not worth the price. Pity, I'd been looking forward to a sweet and this spoiled the meal for me.
