The Social deserves credit for emblazoning on both its front and rear facades the words Vegetarian and Vegan Options in lettering large enough to read from a car zooming by. So after two years of zooming by, and on a Monday when all-vegan Right Path Organic Café just a block away is closed, I decided to donate my body to science and conduct some animal experiments (the animals being my dinner companion and me) by trying some of their veg options, marked on their menu with two green leaves for vegetarian and four for vegan. Went for a quick lunch before taking g ferry back to LI. Was a little disappointed in my food, description on menu stated chicken thigh bites, fried with choice of sauce. Was excited to see it was tight meat, since most restaurants go with white meat chicken. When my food arrived flavor was great, but it was definitely white meat chicken and therefore dry. The cocktail was awesome. So it wasn't a complete disappointment. Don't think I would go back though.
We decided to try this restaurant over several other nearby options. The tofu bites and the brussel sprouts appetizer were quite good. However, the black bean burger and the garden burger were poorly cooked. The flavor was good but they were just mush. The accompanying fries were cold. Having read the reviews, I asked for a vegan menu but was told that it was just mixed in with the regular items.
A gastropub do a craft flair on American classics. Good atmosphere and amazing beer selection 50 local beers and ciders. Food was pretty good my burger did come out a little cool. The mac and cheese has great flavor I just with it was a little more cheesy. Over all everything had good flavors. They have gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options for food.

wonderful experience. friendly staff and excellent service I was so happy to have a place to put in and work from my laptop while I dinner and enjoy beer. large selection of large tasting beer and I really appreciate the vegan and vegetation options! the gartenburger and brussel sprouts were excellent
Sports a number of vegetarian options that are absolutely delicious. Would recommend the black bean burger with avocado. But really, their craft beer selection is the the best for miles around. A bit expensive and crowded around peak times, but worth it for a night out
Super friendly staff, great brews, and even better food! Was super surprised with how much effort the chef seemed to put into the food. Def recommend the chicken wings! The crispiest wings I’ve ever had! Will be sure to make another visit.
we enjoyed the new london big band in social today. it was a dream, wonderful musician with the perfect singer. the service, eating and public were excellent.
