We enjoyed our main meal at the restaurant. I had a hard time deciding on a starter as there were only four options, so I ended up not having one. Unfortunately, my dessert was disappointing. I ordered the apple crumble, which came in a small pot that was mostly filled with overly sweet apple pulp. The layer of crumble on top was the best part. The service was very slow, especially considering that it was a quiet night. Despite our experience, many others seem to love this pub, so maybe we are just being too picky.
We made a reservation for a rainy Wednesday and were greeted warmly upon arrival. The restaurant had implemented several COVID safety measures, but they were not excessive. There was ample space for all customers. The fish and chips were delicious, and it was clear that the fish was fresh. Definitely recommend checking this place out.
The pub itself it’s located fairly rural but don’t let the drive put you off. The inside is a proper traditional pub setting and a gorgeous fire was lit. Love the smell of a lit fireplace in a pub! Food was very very nice also, good portion sizes and the prices very reasonable. Would certainly be back soon.
My son and I met up here for a catch up and Fish and Chip night... lovely little place ... two open fires .. food very good lovely light beer batter on fish ... good selection of beers gin etc , was quite busy which is always a good sign, will be returning maybe on a Thursday which is pie night apparently

The food at this restaurant is delicious, the portions are generous, and the staff is excellent. The prices are very reasonable and I can't praise this place enough. Although I am just passing through for the next couple of weeks, I will definitely be coming back.
Lovely cosy pub, great log fires in both rooms. Very welcoming. Have choice of food not just sunday lunch on sundays. Really big plates of food main course. Really tasty good value. Great desserts too. Would recommend to go here.
First class food at both lunchtime and evening; good choice of wine,too, excellent service in very cosy and welcoming surroundings. Not especially expensive for its standard either. Highly recommended.
Have eaten here twice now, both meals very enjoyable. Staff always friendly and helpful. A lovely cosey pub with several roaring open fires perfect

Lovely food, lovely staff, lovely atmosphere. Couldn't fault it. They even lit the fire for us as it was a wet windy evening.
Excellent food, very clean premises and very friendly staff. Highly recommend. Lovely beer garden too.
