I went to the Tap for paint nite, but actually it was at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon. Forty-two people were there for this event. We had one instructor and one picture had been selected for this event. During two hours I was in another space, creatively painting on a canvas with acrylic paints . Our group of six was situated together so that we enjoyed socializing while we painted.We were offered drinks and food (at extra cost) however most of us stayed with a large glass of water with a straw! The place looks so clean and bright with the new furnishings and seating arrangement. The liquor store is also worth a visit (reasonable prices, stocked with a great variety of items, including a walk-in beer cooler). Our five orders were very good - two orders of taco salad (huge) $16; two Long Beach Club sandwiches (delicious with the blackened chicken) $15.50; burger (bacon hanging over the sides) $15.50. Went here for lunch one day and the restaurant is very nice inside since it has been recently remodeled. Kids are allowed at The Tap until 8:00pm which is great for families with kids. The waitress was very nice and when we asked for a full plate of nachos she told us the half order would be enough and she was right which saved us some money. The only problem with service was that our waitress ended up behind the bar making drinks, so we had to wait a while to get our bill. The liquor store is accessible from inside the restaurant and the drive thru is a great idea for people who know what they want and don't want to go inside. I would recommend you to come check out the newly renovated Tap.

The Tap has been a landmark in North Regina for 14 years and has recently gone through a major renovation. The expanded off sale is appealing to "North-enders" and people who travel to the lake or Craven. The inside is simplified yet looks functional. The deck has seen a bit of a face lift and still sports the warm west side sun. The menu however escaped any changes and could have used an overhaul. Went for lunch on a Friday and there seemed to be a lack of staff to accommodate the people. The lunch took a long time to come (really, a salad, one burger and some pizza bones - not all that complicated). When the food did arrive, it was obviously sitting for some time. I met two friends here for lunch the other day. I ordered fish tacos. When the tacos arrived, the order was very small. My friends had quesadillas, and they had twice the food that I got with my order. There were four tacos, and I put all the filling on two shells as there wasn't enough filling for four. My friends commented on how little I received, and the fact that my order was $16.50 and theirs was less. I will never order the fish tacos here again !

Even if you don't enjoy spicy food, do yourself a favor and go to the Tap and try the Jalapeno cheddar soup. It is simply delicious. They have other great appetizer/bar foods there as well. We went on Thursday, which is their wing night. Great flavor choices for the wings. And they also have great main dishes, burgers, and salads. Right on the north end of the city, so it is pretty convenient location. Love going there!!

The renovations are really nice here and the staff is friendly. We came to watch the game and requested the sound for the big screen TV was on, rather than the awful music. Was advised no. Words of wisdom... if you want to watch the game, don't come here and stay away from the "gravy". Good food.

A definite must try is their brew on tap because some of them are very seasonal.Always ask your server what they have on tap and give it a try... Also a great find is their burgers and pizza... Servers are friendly and very nice which is the bonus... we will definitely come back... Reserva una mesa ahora

Great atmosphere, cold beer and excellent pub food! Great sports bar with a tong of tv's and excellent service.
