We took the Independence Pass from Aspen to Estes Park and stopped in Nederland for lunch. We decided to try the Train Cars Coffee and Kava, and I’m really glad we did. Having lunch in the old train cars was really charming. The entire vibe of the place was very welcoming, and the employees were very friendly and welcoming. Since we’re both vegetarian, we got the grilled cheese and pesto on a croissant, which was very tasty albeit a bit greasy (I mean cheese and croissant, so not unexpected). We also decided to try the “world famous” mini donuts, and got them with chocolate, caramel, powdered sugar and whipped cream. We stopped here in Nederland on our way to our honeymoon. Such a wonderful place and great atmosphere with really sweet staff. We tried an Irish crème breve and a hazelnut cappuccino with “the works” mini donuts. We regret not getting the full dozen! The donuts are made fresh and have a nice soft crunch on the outside and super warm on the inside. Definitely recommend this place, they have the basic coffee flavors, and can do hot or iced. Next time we come, we will try their sandwich’s/bagels and/or breakfast burritos!
This is such an awesome coffee shop! Really cool atmosphere inside three old train cars. Food is great, staff is welcoming and friendly, they 've got wifi, and their coffee tastes great. It 's NOT that new sour coffee that all the hipster places are serving. They 've also got fresh house made mini-donuts, Kava drinks at a great prices, and food/bagel sandwich options too!!!
Visiting Ned from Chicago. Stopped at Train Cars Coffee for breakfast and coffee. Ordered the Fat Sammie breakfast sandwich —-holy smokes!! It was incredible! It felt like it just melted in my mouth. Best bagel breakfast sandwich I’ve had They also offer doggie treats and a fancy pup cup! Staff was super friendly and kind. Will be back during this trip!

this place was amazing!! super cool atmosphere, awesome location, great food! i got the lox sandwich and my husband got the locomotive! we got married this morning and when the man taking our over heard this he handed our card back and took care of our meal for us! we will definitely be back before our trip is over!
Delicious donuts with a wonderful aesthetic trainer to eat them. This place feels cozy and historical without being cheerful. We have hot chocolate (rich and creamy), an icy coffee and a 1/2 dozen mini cinnamon sugar donuts. The prices were fair and the service friendly.
Excellent coffee and atmosphere. Very quiet and people are nice. The mini donuts are a must. Buy extra donuts to take home!
BEST AND NICEST PEOPLE. Great drinks and snacks. Love the atmosphere and great for chilling out. Amazing!
