The Waterfront Venice

Went here for Sunday brunch for a birthday. The buffet is now gone, which was a surprise. But still had a bottomless drink brunch. However, our food was lukewarm and the kitchen forgot to cook one of our dishes (for the birthday girl). Further, I had mentioned it was a birthday in reservation, and nothing was offered as a birthday special. By no means is any place required to do so, but it would have been nice. To the credit of this restaurant, it seems many places in LA opt out of providing anything special things for a birthday. The vibe has gone down in the last 6 months since the last time we were here. Place was not willing to move an unused umbrella so that all 3 of us could sit in the shade around noon. No specific explanation given. This used to be a killer place before the original Swiss owner called it quits an retired. a few years ago. Had an unbeatable Happy Hour from 6 to 8pm too with pints of beers for under $6. Nowadays not so much. A Hefeweizen is now $9 and is served in throwaway aluminum cups with a slice of dried orange thrown in. Someone seems to mistake Hefeweizen with Blue Moon. Clueless owner and manager. Used to hang out here often after work. Won’t be coming back. The sunset views are great of course if all of the above don’t concern you.

I absolutely loved this restaurant! I visited for the first time with my best friend before heading to the SZA concert that evening. The atmosphere was stylish and vibrant, and the food was fresh. The noise level was just right, making it a great place to hang out. And I must mention, the DJs were fantastic!

The food was outstanding. We enjoyed lunch at the restaurant and then returned for takeout dinner after strolling up and down the Venice Strip. My only issue was that it was quite noisy during lunchtime.

This was the best avocado toast I've ever tasted! They served a generous portion of avocado. The grilled veggie tacos were also outstanding, with delicious and creative flavors.

Nice place to sit and let the world roll by at Venice beach. Service was excellent. Highly recommended.

Loved it but sad they stopped the bottomless brunch buffet that’s what we had wanted to come again for.
