The Weston - Reservar una mesa

My partner and I were here to watch Eng vs Bel on 28/06. First impressions were average, some parts of the pub were recently clearly renovated, but others were a little drab, some of the seats for example. Anyway, it was relatively quiet and had two screens plus a vegan option (good for my partner), so we were happy to stay. The beer was good as the service. I was unhappy that a couple were in front of me, but continued to buy a dozen drinks. Not the employees owe it. I was in stock and if I had a complaint, the beer was pretty warm. I see the owner's have totally ignored my comments because they haven't even commented on my review well done 6/3/2019. Have lived in the local area for a long time but have never been in this pub but I'm glad that I didn't the staff and their friends became very aggressive towards me and ask me to leave and when I didn't leave as quickly as they liked they started to try to pick a fight with me and square up to me in the pub I asked them what was the problem and why they were being funny towards me no reason was given I think they were either all drunk or on drugs not sure which I didn't go there to be abused by people that I've never seen before all met I went there for a quiet drink. So looking forward to the reopening of this pub, we loved going there when Karen was running the place and have missed it since closing suddenly last year. We went there last night 2 days after the reopening, terrible! The atmosphere is dreadfull, the bar feels unclean, the landlord sits at the bar downing pint after pint. They have put a pool table where once there was a relaxing sofa area and they even have a fruit machine just to really lower the tone. It's gone from a quality establishment that had a great vibe, lovely food, relaxed atmoshpere to a dive that will have a few old soaks propping up the bar. Totally disappointed

After relocating to Newbridge Road, we had hoped to visit The Weston restaurant. However, shortly after our move, it closed down. In the few days leading up to our departure from the area, a group of three of us stopped by the pub for some drinks. When we opted for takeout, the owner was extremely polite and we enjoyed a fantastic meal in the garden. The wonderful weather certainly enhanced our experience, but all the staff we encountered were friendly and engaging. Overall, we had a wonderful evening at The Weston.
