My partner and I went here to watch Eng vs Bel on the 28/06. First impressions were average, some parts of the pub were clearly recently renovated but others were a little drab, some of the seating for example. Anyway, it was relatively quiet and had two screens plus a vegan option (good for my partner) so we were happy to stay. The beer was fine as was the service. I was unlucky in that a couple were ahead of me but proceeded to buy a dozen drinks. Not the staffs fault mind. I was on lager and if I had one complaint, the beer was quite warm. we wanted to visit the weston after the move to the newbridge road. unfortunately it closed soon after the first time. a few days before our house goes his separate wise, three of us went down into the pub for a few drinks. when we decided to take away, the renter was very courteous and we ordered a fantastic meal in the garden. the weather, which is fantastic, has certainly helped dinge, but everyone we spoke was friendly and interesting. had such a great night here.
We visited here on a Tuesday lunchtime and were delighted to discover that they serve a carvery every weekday, it was really lovely to sit down mid week and have a roast dinner which we haven’t had to prepare. The person who served us was also helpful and polite.
fabulous Sunday dinner today. the second time there and nothing I could owe. beef was beautiful, largest and best yorkshire pudding ever and fab veg (cauliflower cheese was a winner). Thank you, we'll see you soon.
