We ordered a Prosecco (tasty but only prosecco option on the menu!) and a Pint of Beer (we frequent the CBD so we're exceptionally happy with an $8 pint) The drinks, were where the good experience stopped. We had only popped in for a drink and a nibble so ordered S&P squid and San Choy Bow. $16 and $14 respectively. They were both exceptionally small portions for for the prices. Maybe 10 edible portions of squid, the reminder were the friend outer coating scraps on the plate with some sad rocket and the San Choy Bow was TWO tiny lettuce cups! Vino aquí para el almuerzo un domingo y estaba bastante ocupado cuando una pelea de título estaba puesta en marcha. A pesar de que nos sirvieron de inmediato y la comida salió realmente rápidamente. I always enjoy this place whether it's drinks with friends, dinner with the family or a business lunch - it always does the job. Decent menu, lovely staff and a range of seating options from the wrap around verandah to the formal areas at the back flowing out to the shady garden with water feature. We love the Windsor - its personality changes with the day of the week and time of the day.Staff are super friendly and the Guinness is always good.Meals are generous and the chicken wings are the best value share plate going around.Comedy and open mic nights add even more variety across the week.We've only been here a little while but we have adopted the Windsor as out local.
We had the seafood chowder and garlic prawns for entrees. $20 for 5 tasteless prawns. Main meal was the seared snapper fish special for Saturday dinner. $42 ....are you serious. On the dry side and the fish sat on some sauce and little bits of broccoli....are you serious. How about some veges???? Won't be back. Better off main bar for hamburger..
