We were 8 adults and booked two family suites. It is not indicated on the booking site that the suites have different rooms, a large one corresponding to the photos and a tiny one where two people can barely fit inside. When booking there are two photos of two large rooms so we expect that when arriving! Moreover, it is not said in the description either. This is false advertising, we spoke about it with management and we were told that we had two rooms per suite as planned, regardless of the fact that it did not correspond to the photos or the surface area. Let’s start with the positives: the bedroom was superbly clean, the location was pretty good, the reception staff was very friendly and helpful, the sauna was great and the view from the bed was quite astonishing. Overall a great experience but for a 4 star hotel it has quite disappointing breakfast room. My reaction when I was following my girlfriend for breakfast was that we’ve entered the staff room. Having worked in hospitality for many many years, and having a degree in Hospitality management, I’ve seen a fair share of breakfast rooms and staff dining rooms, and I was shocked. This place is very busy, so it is good to make a reservation. We were lucky because there were only two of us and we were there early. When we were gone, they turned people away. We tried the local dried meat plate and raclette. We tried all three to taste the different cheeses and sides. It is very cozy inside, but the tables are very close together, so not the place for an intimate conversation. It's right on the main road. Definitely worth a visit.
after many years, in which we have visited the restaurant with enthusiasm again and again, it is now uncomfortable, dark, crowded and so loud that you can't talk without screaming. the formerly gediegene local has only a very limited menu, the service is absolutely lukewarm. you have to use the same cutlery for appetizer and main course. the tellers are being banged unfriendly. a gray: never again! after a fine apéro am cheminées we were accompanied in the very cozy "Theodors-Stuba" at the table. after professional consulting we enjoyed an exclusive and fine walliserraclette. the very warm service rounded off our perfect culinary and fun evening in the walliserhof! a visit is worth it!
