A pre-dinner cocktail session to celebrate a family Birthday. 8 of us visited the TD for a drink prior to heading to the Longstore for dinner (as the TD were not offering food as yet) On arrival and a friendly greeting we were swiftly shown to a table which was adapted to take 8 of us. We were given menus where the waiter offered any help and advice and left to make our choices. Cocktails all round were ordered which arrived in a timely manner. Every cocktail had been made exactly as it should and served in the correct glasses with the correct accompaniments. Friday nights finally got better. I’ve been waiting for something like the TD to open in Truro. Spending the weekend in the usual venues which really are not comparable to the TD became an activity I was starting to dread. Booked at the pub for 5 people. At arrival we were welcomed by a young and professional team which set everything off to a good start. Ordered drinks which were not only presented beautifully but tasted GREAT (mouthwatering gin and tonic, really is). Went on and ordered some food (they are doing small plates which are really not that small, very generous) and oh my! The monkfish scampi was a work of art. Lovely to have our local pub back. Really like the new decor and the warm, friendly atmosphere. Staff lovely. Impressed with the quality of the food on the first night and the variety despite only being “small plates” at the moment whilst newly open. I really hope that the full menu includes some options that are good value to allow locals to eat regularly. Many thanks for a very enjoyable first evening!
Went here with my boyfriend for a little cocktail evening- welcome was lovely and friendly all staff were very nice. We had a margarita and a Pornstar martini and they were both gorgeous. We also tried the barmans’ signature sunset drift and it was my boyfriends favourite! A brilliant reopening and can’t wait to come for food!

Now that the Thomas Daniel has reopened, I’ve been a couple of times and the atmosphere, food and staff have all been great. Super attentive, lovely drinks menu and a good vibe. Big thumbs up
Just ate here. 3 boys on bikes heading to Lands End from Exeter. Unreal food and lovely service too. Perfect spot and good portion sizes. Can't complain
Food and service were great, shared a few of the small plates between us which were all lovely. Really nice atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back!
Best Pub and even better is the food. Something Truro has been Waiting for. Friendly, tasty food and a long beer list. Service was exceptional.

Great food and best gin and tonic in Truro... friends were poor but not fault of pub. Highly recommended
