If you’re craving dumplings in NYC, look no further! I first tasted this amazing food in Hong Kong, and it’s just as delicious now. The BBQ rolls are out of this world—soft yet crispy, sweet, and satisfying; I could eat them all day long. We also tried the chicken and vegetable dumplings, which were both high quality, soft, and enjoyable to eat. Everything was served hot and tasted fantastic. I also want to highlight the service; they kept our water glasses filled, even though we were seated a bit away, and the staff was friendly and quick. I couldn't recommend this place more!

I had heard a lot about Tim Ho Wan, the dim sum restaurant located on 4th Avenue in the East Village, recognized as "the world's cheapest Michelin-starred restaurant." This is the first U.S. branch of the renowned Hong Kong-based chain, famous for its long wait times. I decided to visit on a weekday morning right when it opened at 10 a.m., hoping to avoid the crowds while reading my book for the next book group meeting. Fortunately, I was in luck—there were no lines, and I was seated right away.

The restaurant seems to be declining. I remember it being decent in the past, but this time I didn’t enjoy half of the dishes. I can only rate it three stars and probably won't return. On the plus side, the prices are reasonable. It seems like many dim sum places are using prepackaged food these days, which is quite disappointing. But then again, you get what you pay for.

The ingredients here are exceptionally fresh, and it truly reflects in the flavor of the dishes. When I was growing up in New Zealand, my family would indulge in Yum Cha as a special tradition to celebrate good grades or birthdays. The quality and taste of the food at this restaurant are remarkably similar to those cherished memories. I highly recommend it! Reserva una mesa ahora

This is the most authentic Hong Kong dim sum restaurant in New York! The open kitchen guarantees freshness, and the blend of aromas and spices is outstanding. I highly recommend trying their special pig dogs, chicken feet, rice cakes, and mala cakes. However, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

This is an excellent spot for genuine dim sum. While the menu may be somewhat small, every dish we sampled was incredibly delicious. The service was satisfactory, despite the busy atmosphere, and each dish was served piping hot. I highly recommend trying the green tea sesame buns!

I really enjoy the food at this restaurant, but during my last five delivery orders, they have consistently failed to include the hot sauce I specifically requested in the comments. Tim Ho Wan, please make sure to include the sauce with delivery orders!

This restaurant is part of a well-known chain in Hong Kong, so you can expect excellent Cantonese cuisine. The baked pork bun is quite unique and unlike anything I've encountered at other dim sum places. Reserva una mesa ahora

I ordered the sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf because I had a craving for Zongzi, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. The BBQ pork bun is a must-try—it's incredibly delicious!
