I placed a takeout order at Toki Japanese in early October 2020. The person on the phone was clear and took my order accurately. When we picked up the food, it was ready right on time. After a 30-minute drive home, the food was still hot and fresh. We had a few sushi rolls and the chicken katsu dinner. The katsu dinner was very good (4/5), while the sushi was just average (3/5). Considering the freshness, promptness, and quality of service, I’d rate the overall experience a solid 4/5. A nice touch that I appreciated was serving the hot soups in disposable coffee cups, which made them easy to enjoy without needing utensils—a clever idea I wish more places would adopt.
The sushi is very good. I like the variety, and I?m always down to order their special rolls. Only complaints are about the scallops and hibachi dinners. The scallops are a $10.00 dish but only 2 scallops come with the order; The remaining is mushroom.Which was unfortunate for my partner who hates mushroom. The sauce is great, though. The hibachi dinner is $30.00, and thequality is there, but the portion is fairly small. Not American portions small, either. I definitely order for the sushi, but mypartner likes to branch out. Just be aware. I?m unsure if the portions are different in person.
If you’re in the upscale area and looking for a top-notch Japanese dining experience, Toki Japanese is the place to go! The soup and salad are fantastic, and you can't miss the gyoza. The hibachi is exceptional, particularly the steak and chicken! The noodles might just be the best I’ve ever tasted—they ended up being my favorite dish on the menu! The atmosphere is wonderful, and the food is truly outstanding.
today my boss offered to buy all of us food and of course i said yes cause I?ve never ate there before. i got a tempura lunch bento box and i noticed while i was eating (almost done mind you) there was a stink bug in my container! i have never felt sodisgusted in my life, nice first impression Toki!! heres a side of stink bug sashimi!

Excellent, fresh, and high-quality sushi at a fantastic price. We sampled seven different types of sashimi, and each one was delicious and top-notch. We ended up ordering seconds on many of them. I would have liked to try the Uni, but it was sold out at the time. The service is excellent, and the staff are all very friendly.
The pickup was quick and our order was spot on. We thoroughly enjoyed the filet mignon hibachi and some tasty rolls! We ordered via Uber Eats expecting a discount, but it didn't apply. Next time, we'll place our order directly by phone.
Excellent service and delicious sushi! I had spicy tuna roll, eel with avocado, spicy salmon roll and dipped with light soy sauce and wasabi. I ate the ginger in between bites. It hit the spot! Thanks!!
The food was beautifully presented. However, it would benefit from having the rice cooked a little longer and better seasoned.
