Tommy Ruff puts an exciting twist on your average fish and chips. Love the modern and hipster style fit out! It was quite busy when we went but the service was great!<br/ <br/ We had the classic fish n chips with a side of calamari, dim sum and king prawn. The fish was nice not fishy, although it could’ve been more flakey and tender. The chips were nice and crunchy. The tartare sauce was quite bland though and could’ve been a bit more tart. The dim sum were overly salty unfortunately. However the calamari rings were very nice and not too chewy. <br/ <br/ Overall, a decent place to drop by for fish and chips. Will probably try some of their specialty dishes in the future.

I LOVE Tommy Ruff’s!!! <br/ <br/ The food is delicious, fresh and a generous serving size. <br/ I love fish tacos and the southern style fish tacos I had here did not disappoint! <br/ Two of my friends shared the Chefs platter for two which looked amazing so much variety. <br/ Another bonus about Tommy Ruff’s is if you don’t finish your meal, they will gladly pack up the remaining food for you to take home. <br/ <br/ Although there can be a wait for a table during busy times it’s definitely worth it. <br/ I would highly recommend!

The fish and chips at this restaurant were absolutely delicious! I ordered the Aussie Angler pack and it was so tasty. The food not only made me happy while eating it, but also left me feeling good afterwards. The atmosphere of the place was fantastic – very relaxed and the perfect spot for a lovely summery day. I also tried the Kiss of the Mermaid cider, simply because of the name, and it was delicious! And I couldn't resist the adorable fishy water jugs as soon as I saw them.

The service at this restaurant is quick and friendly. The seafood dishes are delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The fish was perfectly crispy without being oily. We particularly enjoyed the Super salad, which complemented the seafood dishes well. Our meal for three people came to $111, which we felt was reasonable for the quality of the food. Drove down to the beach when Melbourne had some good whether and stopped by tommy ruff for lunch. I’ve heard mixed reviews but wanted to see for myself. We had a tackle pack and oysters to share. Some of the oysters were a little funky but the rest was great. Loved the calamari rings and the fish. Great spot and staff are so nice here.

We just came for a quick bite. What a delicious bite it was. I could not convince my son not to have the Burger but luckily hd persisted. I got to try it, it was juicy and the bun just right. My tacos were just as good. The perfect amount of condiments. The service was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We will be back.

This place is always packed and there's a reason for it. Great decor, good service, and delicious fresh seafood every time. We've been 3 times so far and will definitely be returning again.
