We came to this restaurant for a date night because we heard about it reviews. Well, you walked in there is pretty empty but the restaurant was pretty old school set up. The Ambiance wasn't bad for the fact that it was traditional Japanese set up. So the seats went inside the ground which was pretty cool.The service on the other hand wasn't the great, as you can tell the waitress really didn't pay much attention to us. I had to waiver down a couple times. But the food itself was delicious wasn't really fond of the fried shrimp inside of my sushi roll. But other than that, everything was wonderful.I think I will go back in the future to order takeout over dine in.
Tried their grilled fish tempora plate, bento box, tempora sushi with sake. Everything was delicious. The best tempora sushi I’ve had. All the items in the bento box also was amazing. Cooked to perfect and great flavor. The service was good expect some communication gap with the servers. The ambiance is like any normal Japanese restaurant, nothing extraordinary. Definitely recommend this sushi place in the Hayward area.

I must say, this is an amazing place for high-quality sushi. I ordered the Spicy California Roll and the New York Roll, and both were outstanding. My only critique would be that the restaurant was initially closed, which was a bit inconvenient. However, I appreciated the nice touch of being offered a hot, damp towel. The atmosphere is great, and the staff is quick and attentive. Excellent service and delicious food!
This is the best sushi restaurant I’ve ever experienced. We've been coming here for 15 years, and the food is consistently outstanding. The fish is always fresh, and each dish is beautifully presented. The owner and the staff are incredibly friendly, making every visit enjoyable. We love dining here and look forward to many more visits in the future!
Rib eye steak is so good, tender and tasty! My second time for rib eye steak, better than any other regular steak restaurant in the bay. The green hot tea made by restaurant is perfect, seems like green tea with roasted rice. My wife ordered the grilled fish with sauted veggies and fried rice, so yummy ?.Vegetarian options: Fresh salads
Great food and service! The waiters were very friendly and the sushi was delicious. They were attentive and waiting for our conversation to complete before asking for our order, which was very polite and appreciated. The food came out quickly and all at once after we ordered.Parking: Lots of parking available! Safe place to park too.

If you have lived around Hayward or worked here you probably know Ray’s Sushi. The owner was the chef there and started his own. It’s a true family affair. The portions are large. The sushi and sashimi cut have fresh chunks of fish.They also have off the menu specials that you can ask the chef.
