This gem has been in the area for many, many years. There is a reason for that, its just a really great restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely, the food is always great, and the service is professional. All are polished servers that are also incredibly friendly and provide the appropriate attention. We love the mushroom appetizer, but tonight I opted for the fresh gazpacho which was incredible. Simple and flavorful. We often opt to select one of the specials offered. When fresh Santa Barbara Spot Prawns are on the menu, they are amazing my personal favorite here, prepared with garlic sauce and linguine. OMG. This was a very good restaurant experience, professional, efficient and great food. Next time I would request outside seating as it has a large and very nice patio, but inside was fine, less crowded at the time we went. Very impressive menu and wide variety of selections. I had the dover sole, which is rare to find on restaurant menus, and it was perfectly served and delicious. I didn’t mind that it wasn’t deboned tableside. My wife loved the salmon encrusted in potato. I had a side (large portion) of risotto which was excellent. They offer cakebread Chardonnay by the glass which is one of my favorite wines. Consistently great food. The octopus/calamari arugula salad was exceptional delicious. Tender, most and tasty. The halibut was cooked perfectly. The trio of filet mignon was great too. Service always warm and friendly. The place to eat in Westlake
