I have always been a fan of Twisted Plants. From Fond Du Lac Ave to Zocalo to Cudahy. I have always referred people to them for their food. But today I drove from my home near Butler all the way to Cudahy as usual for Twisted Plants. I ordered at 5:50 pm and it gave an estimated time of 6:30 pm. I received the text that my order was ready for pickup at 6:30 pm. When I went in they were moderately busy inside. They told me my order would be another 5 mins. Okay that's fine. My family ordered online and picked up meals from Twisted Plants. We got there early and waited for a few minutes. The gentleman working was so very kind and was very communicative with us. He even held the door for us on the way out. Very friendly! As for the space, it has an eclectic vibe. The environment looks more thrown together than thoughtfully planned out. Wall is plastered with movie posters. The meals were great! We had ordered the plant based burgers and a chicken sandwich. In addition we tried the cookies and cream and strawberry shakes. Vegan fast food in Milwaukee?! Um, yes please! I have not seen anything like this in the city, and it's refreshing to see more vegan restaurants catering to comfort foods. I got the cauliflower bites and they are hands down the best that I've had ever, especially the lemon pepper and sweet chili. Super flavorful, really delicious breading and not soggy. My non-vegan dad loved them. The strawberry lemonade was amazing. I also got a peanut butter cookie bite that was delicious. Overall, just an amazing place with good vibes, super friendly staff, and a huge menu. There's a lot I didn't get to try but I will be back to soon!
I stumbled upon this restaurant when I was feeling hungry and decided to go in with low expectations. However, upon arriving, I placed my order and found a comfortable seat. The staff was excellent and the atmosphere was one of the most pleasant I've experienced in a long time. When my order arrived, I was completely amazed by how delicious it was. I had expected vegan food to be bland or simple, but it was actually incredibly flavorful. I even ordered a shake, which was fantastic. I had a generally positive experience at this restaurant. The fried pickles were tasty, although they were a bit too heavily battered. The standout items of the meal were the waffle fries and the pretzel buns. The burger was decent, but nothing exceptional. The vegan cheese topping was surprisingly good compared to others I've tried. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning in the near future.
I recently tried Twisted Plants at the state fair and initially had doubts about trying the actual restaurant. However, I am incredibly thankful that I did because the staff were friendly and the food was incredible! I ordered a burger and a shake which completely exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be returning to their physical location again.
Twisted Plants has an array of options for anyone looking for a delicious plant based meal. Everything is cooked fresh to order and the staff is welcoming and helpful. My favorite burger so far is the Super Bad and every sandwich comes with tasty waffle fries. Definitely a neighborhood treasure and worth every penny.
The service at this restaurant was excellent and friendly. There is bike parking available right outside, and the employees were knowledgeable about the Bike Benefits promotion without needing to check. I visited this restaurant for the first time and was really impressed. The service was excellent and the food was just as good. Even though they were very busy, the cashier still took the time to explain the different menu options. We will definitely be returning in the future!
