We got to Auburn a little early for some of the galleries and second-hand shops so we stopped in for a coffee. What a surprise awaited us. The building was old but completely updated and there was an outdoor area and also a garden area that had some shade and a lawned area where children could play whilst you were enjoying your meal. We only had coffee and went back on a Tuesday for breakfast but they were closed. The coffee was fabulous and next time we are in the Clare Valley we will be catching up on that missed breakfast.
Saw this place just as we drove into Auburn from the south and stopped there for coffee. It’s a very interesting and appealing collection of buildings, structures, interiors and styles from colonial days to trendy modern. There’s a very spacious courtyard and garden out the back with places to sit in the shade under the trees. And the coffee was great, too.
We actually stopped here twice on the weekend. We were so impressed on Saturday afternoon coffees and wine we went back Sunday morning. Get there early for the wood fire bread! All of the surrounds (garden and buildings) together with the excellent service, food, wine and coffee it an absolute delight to stop here.
I'm an Auburn store and couldn't remember that a better place to be here. if I were a tourist, it would be amazing and as a local it is still a small place in the paradise. best coffee in 100km at least too! a glass wee and a cheese plate on the razing is also a must.

Lovely little place - the garden seating arrangement is spectacular and so beautiful. The boys running it are so friendly and nice made for a wonderful morning coffee. Would be great if they did breakfast as well! Hopefully they expand to it!
We popped in for a coffee before riding the Riesling Trail. The service was great and our drinks were yum. This is a lovely building and the outdoor area is so nice. Glad we stopped in and wish could have stayed for a meal.
Excellent venue, super coffee !! A real buzz on a Sunday morning travelling through . Excellent areas to sit to enjoy the ambiance of this quaint village in the Clare Valley ! A variety of wines , nibbles and cheeses.
Wow really great coffee at this establishment It's great to have new places to visit in our local area Will definitely be back Fantastic new gardens too and a really enjoyable place to visit Thoroughly recommended

There's plenty of great wine tasting places in Clare Valley, but very few great coffee places. That is why we were really happy to find the recently opened Velvet
