Veslo is a brilliant neighborhood restaurant that specializes in traditional Serbian and Balkan food. The food is simple and very delicious. I had the goulash soup, lepinja bread with cheese, and Vienna schnitzel all were excellent. I recommend the lepinja bread and I would say the schnitzel is the best in town, unseating some of my long standing favorites.Dining in is low key and comfortable. Outdoor seating is available on a covered patio. Service is prompt and courteous.Easy parking.

I visit as many times as I can whenever I’m in Waterloo. This place makes fantastic schnitzel. Thin, crispy, and tender like it should be. That’s how a schnitzel is supposed to be prepared. Everything is fresh. Potatoes are nice and crispy but soft on the inside. Service is fast and friendly. I can’t speak highly enough of this place. I search North America for places that know how to make schnitzel, and this is one of the best I have found.

Love love love this place. Years ago I lived in kw and remembered loving Veslos. Went back on a recent trip and it was every bit amazing as I remembered. Delicious, handmade foods for a reasonable price... only wish there was one where I live now !!

Almost all of us had the schnitzel and it was well worth it! Our group of 8 (with kids) also enjoyed the cozy indoor seating and the music as well!

First time trying this place (take-out). Hands down the best food I've ever had! EVER! Don't think twice, just order (or go in)!
