This was a fabulous meal in upscale surroundings, a good selection of tasting menus and a la carte options, with free onsite parking and a nice setting - a garden with a view of the Rhine. Great service too. A wise choice for a special occasion.Restaurant loses a star for allowing indoor smoking in the room adjacent to the dining area. While the doors between the rooms are normally kept closed, one can still make out the tobacco smell whenever someone goes next door to light up. The restaurant either needs to install a better ventilation system in the smoking room or, better yet, require smokers to head outdoors, which is normal and customary virtually everywhere in the world.
We visited the Restaurant twice - on October 25th as well as November 1st. The restaurant has a stylish interior but warm atmosphere. The menu is not extensive but includes something for everyone including seasonal products. We had a mix of soup, salad, fish and meat and various deserts and were very happy. This also applies to the good wine list which carries already good wines for reasonable prices but also top wines from various countries. The service was very friendly. We will for sure visit again!
We came here for a birthday celebration and were very pleased with our experience. The service is first class and we were very pleasantly surprised by the cooking, which was inventive and absolutely delicious. Three different ways with beetroot, and a slice of foie gras topped with fig ice cream was one course, or three different formes of cucmber and smoked salmon another... We are only sad that it is so long till next birthdays/wedding anniversary! Plan on coming here again.
Had a wonderful evening here in the past. Food was extremely good as was the service. Sadly though, it has now closed and according to Wikipedia, the building has been sold to a consulting firm....sigh.
