I received subpar customer service on my recent visit. I had a question, they were annoyed with me, I reciprocated, etc. Employees could have been having a bad day--I don't know and I honestly don't care.I had it in my mind that this was my last visit to this location, but the owner called me and apologized on behalf of their employees. I'm keeping my review 5 stars because, even though they employees made me feel uncomfortable and not at all valued as a customer, my order tasted good and the owner seemed genuinely sorry for my experience. Attitude problems are generally hard to be corrected so I understand their position.
I've visited around four different Vitality Bowls across the Bay Area, and this one has been the worst. The employees are not very friendly, and they don’t fill their bowls to the top. I've tried this location four times, hoping for a better experience, but each time my acai bowl is only filled a quarter of the way, and the toppings barely bring it to half full. Other locations pack their bowls to the brim. In my opinion, if you're paying $12 for an acai bowl, it should be filled all the way.
Awful service. There were plenty of staff on duty, but they showed no sense of urgency. I waited over 30 minutes for my order, and when it finally arrived, it was incorrect and missing one of the two açaí bowls I had ordered. The bag they gave me was sticky, and the bowl was leaking inside. Overall, it was a terrible experience. The employees were rude as well. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place!
This place is over priced for their products, and unaffordable to have regularly that's for sure! Especially these days... disappointed they took the breakfast smoothie off the menu recently, and when I've gone in there was no one there to greet you in the front of the business, which is odd, but anyways, I would hope they can make there food more affordable or offer specials for lunch breakfast or dinner.

This place is so disgusting, the owner and her son are racists. They use cheap food and overcharge, everything tastes absolutely disgusting. The kids working there are all in high school, makes sense thats the only people they can hire. I saw a rat running across the floor and I’ve seen the manager spit in the food when he didn't like the costumer. Go to Vitality Bowls Castro Valley at your own discretion.
The app and payment process is terrible online. If my daughter didn't want your açaí bowl so badly I would have gone somewhere else. Please fix it. Your competitors make it so easy to buy online. Product and in-store service is great. Online is really bad.
Food is great. The person who took my order was not friendly. She was efficient. When she packed my order she put the salad beneath and next to the hot food. If I had a longer commute it would have been warm. Which she was not.
Their pasta is pretty good. Ive only done pick up but I think if you were to eat inside it would be really delicious. Never had any issues with the staff. Everyone is really nice and friendly :

The food and customer service is good overall, just this portion size could be better in my opinion little more pasta will go a long ways
