Newly launched when we arrived it was fantastic to find a place offering regional food with a youthful and fresh twist. After travelling through Switzerland and Italy it was refreshing to relax in the outdoor pool for the day while enjoying the convenience of having...the restaurant service on the same side for a coffee. We then headed to the spa before going back into the restaurant side for lunch. The owner greeted us, she was very informative on the area and encouraged us to take in the view from the terrace. The view was so breathtaking we ended up staying till late afternoon and we even tried the burger from the menu with rosemary chips. Highly recommended! We even went back the next day to try our hand at cross country skiing from the sports centre. Safe to say we retired for another coffee after an hour! We would return to Viv Bistro any time we are in St Moritz
We were at the spa and pool, which is a great addition to St. Moritz. Following the TA recommendations usually a good way to discover new places we looked forward to the meal. How disappointing! They only sold food pool side, so sitting in...a wet bathing suit we waited 30 minutes for a couple of pulled pork burgers and another 20 minutes for a regular burger. The menu mentions a salad, but it comes with fries. The server handed the items out of the hole in the wall. When we noticed there were no napkins she was nowhere ultimately leaned into her space to fish some out ourselves. First time that the TA description was so massively off. The food itself was fine, but the pulled pork had a tasty sauce, but the whole thing felt warmed up.
In search of an easy going lunch location I came across ViV at the new built Ovavera Centre what a brilliant location! The tasty and healthy food starts at 17.50 for the lunch (incl non alcoholic beverage) and the terrace is a brilliant spot in...the sun with great view of the mountains. Free WIFI and very friendly service included (ok it's self service but everyone is really kind)
Over priced, tasteless food in an ikea inspired minimalist design bearing self service restaurant that has nothing of any value to offer other than the extremely courteous, helpful and quintessentially swiss staff. If it truly is the third best restaurant in St. Moritz than the...quality of food is clearly the Achilles heel for this otherwise remarkable place.
