I tried to redeem a reward on the Waba app at this location. I wanted a steak bowl ; however, the server told me that the reward was only good for a $7.99 chicken bowl. After I got the receipt, I noticed that it said that I was able to receive a Fee Entreeup to $8.99. The steak bowl I wanted was $8.99 so I asked the server if I could switch my order. She said no, the reward wasonly good for a chicken bowl. I insisted and she called her manager and was told the same thing. UPDATE 12/20/2021 11:09 AM a different cashier girl was courteous polite, and explained me that this store sells red sauce in a mini cup for .60 ¢ each. i think that acceptable, but SB store gave me 2 Mini cups free. family meal ordered. Red sauce not strong enough (see pic not red red like other stores do).. sigh.. but acceptable since employee was not rude like last time . I've been a regular at this Waba Grill because I really enjoy their food, but I've had some disappointing experiences with their customer service. There's a girl who is often on her phone, and it seems like she might be related to the girl cooking in the back, as they both spend a lot of time on their phones. It feels like only one person is handling all the work. I don't like to complain, but I've also noticed that some employees seem to be unwell. I truly hope this establishment provides their workers with sick leave because no one should have to work when they're not feeling well. Waba, I hope you can improve this situation!
I have been to numerous Waba grills all over Southern California over the years. They are all very much the same with the food and expectations. There was no difference here. The food was great, and the staff was nice. It was an early lunch for me, so the place was nearly empty. The only thing that is mind-blowing is the price. Steak, veggie, no rice bowl and a water, $17.07. As much as I love this place and it's convenience, I will not be coming back anytime soon. I expect it to get worse over time as the minimum wages continue to rise. What a disappointment.

This Waba Grill is the coolest location ever !! Right off the 605 fwy and adjacent to the bike trail, and they have ranch dressing to dip your Salmon into. Ha! Diamond in the most unexpected location! Staff, are awesome!!! I will be back!! Only problem was the restroom door has a lock that can fool some people getting out of the restroom. You need to turn the small lock on the door handle to escape. But the fish is good! : Steve
Terrible Customer Service Experience. Every time I visit this restaurant, the staff is unresponsive and inattentive. They don't even bother to properly welcome customers, and they often mess up orders as well. Maybe try going to the subway next door instead.
