My husband and I were out shopping and wanted to try a new place that we had never been to. This was the closest place. Stood at the front for about 10 minutes, not knowing if we should pick our seat or wait to be seating. I didn't notice a sign to tell us, so we patiently waited. Finally, we were told there is a 10 to 15 mins wait. The place didn't look busy at all. Once seated, we noticed 2 areas that were being serviced. Our server had 4 tables already, then include us making it 5 tables to be serviced. Got our drinks fast. Then, we had to wait for her to come back to get our order in. We are working in Iowa this month and was surprised to see a Wahlburgers Restaurant around the corner from our hotel. The only reason we decided to go is because of their cute TV show we’ve watched a few times. Thought there would be a 12:30 lunch rush but very few people were there, that should have been my first red flag. Atmosphere was beyond nothing much of anything. One server working for the 3 occupied tables. The menu was pretty limited but it is a burger joint. We ordered 2 Jenn’s chicken sandwiches and opted out on fries for a healthier side. First time to a Wahlburgers and such an odd experience. Waited five minutes at the front then had to chase someone down to get seated. Servers kept disappearing and I would see a new server five minutes later who was nice enough to get more water, or give me my check, or let me pay. My first server offered to get more wahlsauce and then disappeared, never to be seen again. My last server was very helpful. Never could get the app to work, I don't know if it's the terrible app or cheap wifi. Really odd experience, thanks for the $5 offer that I could never get to work. We had high hopes for this restaurant for them only to be dashed once the food arrived. This is a clear case of a restaurant surviving off of the name alone. There was nothing special or delicious with our food. The chicken patties were thin and tasteless. The bun was nothing more than a great value bun you get at any supermarket. The Mac n cheese was dry with the only redeeming quality being the bacon on top. Needless to say we will not be back.

Delicious food and even better service. Our server not only took care of taking the time to order my children for themselves, but also supported my mother in the law and helped her order with food restrictions. The bathrooms are also very clean! Very happy. Good job!
