The address says Truro but the actual tiny seaside village is St. Maws. Use the public parking just to the right of building. The car park sign is obvious. 75 parking spots available. We booked early at 6:30pm mid week. We were greeted very pleasantly and shown upstairs to a table. The restaurant was already half full. The service, however was slow. The server omitted to to tell us about the special . The menu had a heavy bias towards fish which we expected but seemed rather pricey. When the server arrived , I asked about the special, which was sea bas on a bed of mashed potatoes, with a decoration of green bits for £24. Unfortunately the ceiling is low the floor is hard, so the result is excessive noise. There was a party of raucous young men and as the restaurant filled up, the noise got worse. Wish we had seen the reviews before getting a take away from here. We ordered 2x fish and chips and 2x very overpriced sausage and chips (9.95) For the price we would have expected proper chip shop chips but these were likely frozen chips, and very dry. The fish was ok but not very much of it. The sausage was awful, burnt and tasted vile. We pay less in London and much better quality. Not what we expected from a seaside fish and chip shop. Probably one of the worst we’ve been to. Avoid and go elsewhere.
