I have reviewed other people and booked them a week ago. When I went on the day, all reserved seats were reserved. I had a reservation at 5:30, but there was a person waiting for it, and the person standing in front of me was told that the seat was not empty if it was not after 7 o'clock. I was asked to make a reservation for tomorrow. I think reservation is essential because the number of seats is not such. We had to ask for our water in order to get the ordering process going. I think this is through no fault of the staff as they had to work inside and outside seats with maybe 3 waitresses. I ordered the half dozen raw oysters and the fried oyster plate w/ potato salad and veggies. The raw oysters came out first, and were great, if rather small. My wife ordered lobster with mussels; the mussels came next and again were great tasting but smaller sized in my opinion. My fried oysters were very good, the potato salad was very good, the veggies were okay. The Water Prince Corner Shop is an interesting anomaly in Charlottetown. We saw the crowds and made reservations for the next night. Even with the reservation, we still had to wait a half hour to get our table due to just how many people were coming and going.The food was alright. Actually the chowder is exceptional -- it's very creamy and rich and is really really good. But the rest of our meal was lackluster and just so-so. My oysters were ok, but nothing that special as was the rest of the meal. The prices also seemed a little high. We reserved a table for 4 at this small restaurant at the recommendation of friends. We were not disappointed! Best I ever had. I got haddock, my husband hAd halibut...both were excellent!It came to us piping hot and fresh. Service is very friendly, they don't rush you even though they turn away many customers due to being at capacity! This place is deceiving g...small and simple but that food is sooo great!
