We stopped here for lunch and we were not disappointed. It was a very traditional Austrian meal. We got beer (of course) and that was amazing. Then we ordered husband got the schnitzel and I got a Austrian meat plate (cannot remember what it was...called). The service was really good and I believe the owner was the server. The food tasted homemade and very fresh. The servings were huge and after we ordered arrived very fast. The inside of the place looks like it would have 100 years ago (in my mind) and we liked that aspect very much. Also a few locals were having lunch there so of course it had to be good. All in all would return to this place. Delicious food!
My daughter and I were given a restaurant recommendation when we checked into the Hotel Wittelsbach. The waitress was very knowledgeable when answering our questions about food that is local cuisine. We order the Bavarian potato soup and Schwabenpfand. It was delicious, and the waitresses...did a fabulous job understanding our southern American accents.
We dropped late for a dinner between Christmas and New Year. Not many people so no surprise that service was quick. Friendly waitress helped us to choose Bavarian specialties. Disappointingly, Germ-knödel was served without poppy seeds. Everything else was correct and tasty.
Was on a coach trip and didn't want to eat in the recommended places so went for a stroll and landed here. Service was charming and when I mentioned I needed quick food it was accommodated. Sausages were good sauerkraut excellent.

a must go when you are in Berchtesgaden. Very friendly service with excellent Bavarian food and not expensive. We were lucky to find a place to sit at a table with another couple.
The menu was very enticing and the food promptly and politely served. Outdoor terrace a delightful place to sit. Within hours of my meal it was a gushing disaster from both ends.
The food is authentic and the desserts are delicious. The staff is very helpful and they speak English. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Friendly staff and tasty vegetarian+vegan options. Cozy atmosphere. Portions are big. They accept payments with card.
Really good authentic food, nice patio seating area and great desserts. Service was a little slow but not terrible.
