The service was disappointing. The woman at the register displayed poor customer service skills, seeming to genuinely dislike her job or perhaps life in general. It’s surprising how some people take on busy jobs only to show frustration when the workload picks up.
The burger itself was just average. The seasoning was a bit off-putting, though not entirely unpleasant. On the bright side, the crinkle-cut fries were nicely crispy. However, they use a frustrating tactic of not refilling soft drinks, seemingly to push customers toward larger sizes. They claim this is due to COVID, but it’s hard to understand the risk when they freely pour tea and water from pitchers.

I've lived in the Columbia area for about 15 years, and I recently tried Whataburger for the first time. It truly exceeded my expectations! Their burgers rival any I've had nearby. The lettuce and tomato were fresh and not soggy, the bun was soft, and the patty was cooked perfectly. I also ordered the catfish basket, which was both tasty and generously sized. For two burger baskets (including burgers, fries, and drinks) plus the catfish basket (with fries but no drink), my total was around $23. The service was courteous, though a bit slow, which makes sense since everything is made to order. The Philly cheesesteak was fantastic, featuring fresh lettuce and tomatoes. The hoagie roll was soft yet sturdy enough to hold all the ingredients together. My daughter absolutely loved her double Whataburger, giving it a perfect five stars! I’m looking forward to trying it myself next time. The fries, however, were a bit bland and could have been cooked a little longer. Even though I upgraded my combo size, I didn’t receive more fries, and honestly, I couldn’t finish what I had. The exterior and presentation may be modest, but don’t let that fool you—this place has a wealth of deliciousness waiting inside. It’s what Five Guys and Fosters Grill aspire to, but they just can’t compare. This spot really delivers! The burgers are outstanding, and the fries are equally fantastic. Even during busy times, your food comes out quickly. There’s ample seating inside, along with restrooms, but you can also enjoy your meal outside or opt for takeout.

Enjoyed lunch here. Had a good time with family. Came during the quiet time so there was plenty of seating and not a long wait. The food was delicious for sure. Only complaint I have is that my marinara sauce for my mozzarella sticks was ice cold and had a sour taste, but I’m still giving 5 stars because things happen.
I'm a local and always wanted to stop by and see what this place was about, I'm glad I did...they cooked my food when I ordered (not microwave or precooked) My food was hot. I ordered the double cheeseburger and fries. Service was fast and friendly.. definitely I'm coming back to taste the next item on the menu..
Established in 1953, this charming eatery is a local gem and not part of a national chain. The food is absolutely fantastic! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making for a delightful dining experience. It was a wonderful surprise, and I highly recommend it!
The food was great, but one thing I didn't appreciate was that drinks only come in small or large sizes, as they don't offer refills. This means you'll need to purchase another drink if you want more.
