This was a quick stop on our way to our New Year's Eve destination, a chance to meet up with friends for a little lunch. The pub had a nice ambiance, a friendly vibe, and absolutely gigantic portions! I chose a jacket potato, thinking it would be a light option... I was completely mistaken! It was as big as my head! Honestly, it might be the largest potato I've ever seen. I know jacket potatoes can vary in quality, but this one was fantastic and a great deal. Everyone's meals were similarly generous in size. I highly recommend this place! Price per person: £10–20.
Very friendly service from the young staff. Very accommodating too. Food was absolutely gorgeous! Had a lovely veggie roast, offered me an alternative as I didn't want the meat options, gravy was veggie too..really happy with the overall hospitality. Would happily recommend a lovely meal and a great welcome from the staff. My only comment is please get some Earl Grey tea bags alongside your other huge selection.
