We were staying in Kayserberg longer than we thought as the Ministero Della Salute saw fit to order 15 day quarantine for UK travellers the day before we were to arrive in Italy making our holiday there untenable. We had eaten here last year after a recommendation from the Hotel Les Remparts where we were staying and loved it. This year we had our parents with us so we all went for an evening meal. It was excellent again so went back on the last night of our holiday after the covid pass obligations had come in to force. We all had been vaccinated and after showing the QR codes on our phones we were seated and served with very little fuss given how new all the new regulations were. Really goo...
We had a package deal during our bike trip, and our hotel obviously had an agreement with this restaurant. The waitress gave us choice between two menues, and none of them seemed attractive. However chose traditional German sauerkraut (of which I got 1 liter!) and four kinds of salt meat - dry, impossible two chew - and not nice looking. The waitress was very clumsy, then she forgot us. It was impossible to get in touch with her, but finally another waiter saw us waving our arms. The everything got mixed up, we got food we did not want, more waiting, but finally came a plate with some small pieces of cheese, so I did not go to bed on an empty stomach. Keep away!
Our group of 10 people had lunch at this restaurant during November. We had no reservation, but were accommodated promptly, simple but delicious lunch menu, fast service, very tasty food and price-quality ratio was excellent. We enjoyed the visit very much. Dogs were also welcomed to this restaurant.
Surprisingly our dog was admitted and this gave us the possibility of savouring the excellent local escargots. Nice restaurant with very friendly service, located in a little but beautiful Elzas town. Plenty of caveaus in the neighbourhood.

The meal we choose was a three course meal which had a starter of snails which was to die for. The main was veal cooked to perfection. We had a lovely desert. The staff spoke perfect english which is not very common. A real gem.
After a long day driving along the wine route we ended up in this town and found this restaurant. Couldn't have ended our holiday on a better note. Great service and food. Menu are good value for money.
The Alsatian dishes we ordered were tasty enough but the portions so large they were off-putting. However crème brûlée for dessert was excellent. Too few staff serving but they did their best.
Great value for money, with extremely friendly staff, where nothing is to much trouble. and the staff are very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.

Very good local food and friendly staff! Would recommend to anyone. The menu “Menu du Terroire” was very good value for money!
A very nice restaurant with good food. Staff very friendly with a good atmosphere. Very busy when we went but worth a try.
