Winstub S'Kaechele

On our visit to the Christmas Market, we were fortunate enough to choose this restaurant for our meal. This was in the beginning of December and the weather was the typical cool and rainy weather. So we had the cliche onion soup and escargot as...appetizers. The soup was perfect for the weather and warmed us nicely. The escargot were already out of the shell and dipping bread into the garlic/butter afterwards was heaven. Had the black forrest ham with potato pancakes which was amazing. All in it was about 30 euro a person which is not cheap but worth the food and the atmosphere. Would return again. Enjoy.

So we had the cliché onion soup and escargot as... The soup was perfect for the weather and warmed us nicely. All in it was about 30 euros a person who is not cheap, but worth the food and the atmosphere. Would come back. Have fun.

Do not just arrive and expect to get a table unless you are very lucky. We booked last minute on a Tuesday. The place was full at opening at 7pm and people were being constantly turned away. Probably only seats 30 covers, one sitting. The...food is divine, I had the best choucroute ever. All the ham is cured in house. My wife had bibeleskas, a casserole with cheese, bacon, and potatoes. All washed down with a crisp local Sylvaner. Very friendly service, excellent English spoken if you need it. They also have an IPad with the English menu.

Nice restaurant and food that really completes the evening. We had a great salmon thing for a beginner and it was one of the most delicious pieces I had eaten to put it in words, I would describe it as truly delightful. The steak was...ravishing and delicate it is the succulent taste, it was made with thick creamy mash that for dying. The menu is not big and there are no vegetarian options that was a bit of a bummer, as always the great service completely made for them! You will definitely see us again in this restaurant.

We had a really nice evening with a very pleasant host and cook. He came to the table and served my extra delicious sauce. 2 very driven people to make it a very good experience. The meat was perfect and the rest of the food was really good. We can definitely recommend this place!

in a very warm and pleasant atmosphere, the alsatian restaurant offers us a generous cuisine, prepared with fresh and seasonal products (onion soup, covered sauerkraut, hamburg. authentic on our plates, a very nice establishment a few steps from the little france.

We were really lucky because you usually have to make a reservation as it is a small place. Service was amazing. Tipical food, that was what we were looking for, and delicious. I highly recommend this place.

I had already tasted the sauerkraut and I had not been a fan but served in this restaurant I felt like I discovered the sauerkraut and I just loved it.
