Yamabuki - Reservar una mesa

Food was ok although hardly memorable. The cuttlefish balls lacked density and flavour and I found the beef and ginger dish a bit heavy with the salty sauce. Service and atmosphere needs to liven up, the staff didn't make us feel very welcome, they needed to be asked to come to the table to help and there needs to be some background music or effort to take the edge off the kitchen noise.

It had been about a year since my last visit as I have started going to another Japanese restaurant in Yarraville but that said Yamabuki is very good. The fresh sushi is yummy, the staff are friendly and it is always busy. I think it is time to refresh the menu and the wine list. However this is one of the few restaurants in Williamstown that I would recommend.

Quiet 29th birthday dinner for my daughter-in-law whose identical twin sister and husband (my son) speak fluent Japanese and totally love the food here. My son and I had the top banquet for two...very nice and more than enough. A small restaurant but well patronized (always a good sign) for a Wednesday night!

Best Japanese in Williamstown because it's the only Japanese restaurant in Williamstown. never the less, the food is cooked, prepared and presented well. Service is ok, However nothing exciting. A bit pricey but a welcome break from Chinese.

This is one of the best Japanese restaurants I have been too. Food is fresh and authentic. Hand rolls, Eel, Octopus and the Salmon all great. The soups were perfect. Can't fault.
