The bar and atmosphere are amazing in this pub……But the reason I have been compelled to write a review is because of a young bouncer who I was informed was called Ashton, who really went out of his way to look out for some of the younger females in the bar. My younger sister was getting some very unwanted attention from 1 male in the area…..this young bouncer was very aware of the unwanted attention she was gaining from this particular person, and this bouncer alerted my sister to explain that if it continues he will be removed…..it did continue and the man was removed by this bouncer and a colleague. We came here for breakfast but were disappointed with the food. The bacon sandwich we ordered turned out to be a sausage sandwich with burnt and dry sausages, and when we tried to address the mistake, our concerns were ignored by the waitress. The full English breakfast was also disappointing, with old and overcooked sausages and dry mushrooms that seemed to have been microwaved. There was no follow-up from the staff about our experience, and when the manager came to clear our half-eaten plates, there was no inquiry about the quality of the food. It seems like the chefs may need retraining or consider a different profession if they are satisfied with serving such subpar dishes.
The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is very friendly! The music is great and the service is top-notch. I would definitely return to this restaurant. It's a perfect spot for couples and friends alike.
Max was extremely helpful and friendly. He took care of all our needs and provided exceptional customer service. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant again.
