Yo! Sushi Trafford Centre

Yo Sushi is one of my favorite dining choices in Plymouth. However, I do not like that they only accept card payments. This can be a problem when their system is not working, as they are unable to make any sales or serve customers. I have only encountered one or two team members who have been friendly and helpful. On two occasions, I was greeted by a girl who was not very welcoming and seemed disinterested in assisting or explaining things. The first time I visited, I was unaware that I needed to place my order through an app, and no one explained this to me. We had to ask for help twice. Overall, there is room for improvement.

Are here a couple of weeks back with the wife while shopping. To be honest, it wasn’t bad. It just wasn’t good either. We’ve eaten sushi all over the world and have been to Japan a few times so perhaps it’s just a case of having high expectations. We’ve never eaten at Yo! before and while I’m not saying we wouldn’t go back, we wouldn’t be in any rush to return. The range of sushi was poor and price-wise, it was a tad expensive given the quality wasn’t what we’ve come to expect. If you want to sit at a bar in a fancy designer shop, this might be the place for you. It all just seemed a bit too pretentious personally.

The restaurant is not as good as it used to be. We ordered two kid's bento boxes, the first one arrived after 10 minutes but we had to wait 40 minutes for the second one. We had to ask the staff three times where the second bento box was. The staff was inattentive and seemed not to care. The chef even shouted at another staff member in front of customers. Overall, it was a really poor experience and the prices were seriously overpriced for what you get.

Used to be a firm favourite. We weren't told it was now app based ordering so sat there like lemons 10 mins. Couldn't make app work. Another staff said we could order as normal, person to person. They messed up the order. Soulless, Limited choice on the belt and didn't trust staff to do the simple things expected. Won't bother again Reserva una mesa ahora

The head chef (Scott) is an absolutely disgusting human with a vile attitude. He shouts over the counter at the staff, Swears at them infront of customers but yet he’s the one who burnt every one of our dishes The staff on the other hand are amazing and always have been. GET RID OF HIM NOW

Matt in the Trafford centre store is amazing. We have been coming her for several years and his service is outstanding everytime. He remembers our order everytime, ensures our food is with us hot and fresh. Highly recommend this place based on Matt’s service alone

This used to be a great food place, no pickled ginger, no water ,no wasabi As we used to get with a table Small portions of everything, poor service Not good quality ingredients It’s gone so far down. What a shame used to be so good

Trying to sushi for first and last time, Very bad experience they didn't use safety gloves for food handling, especially fish, and cooks touching their faces and arms normally, very bad experience, not recommended to any one. Reserva una mesa ahora

Very Poor service ! I am surprised they charge service tax for food which is given directly from the chef across the kitchen and customers pick up from the belt So where is the service involved

The restaurant always provides food orders quickly, and I enjoyed having the belt back with items for casual impulse picking.
