Situated within a small shopping centre, we had seen this restaurant many times, but never visited. We went in early on a Sunday evening thinking we would try some take away, but in a whim decided to eat in, the decor is very basic but clean, and the welcome genuinely friendly. Upon being seated, we were immediately offered menus, given a complimentary basket of prawn crackers and glasses and a bottle of water. Asked if we would like our wine glasses removed, I decided to pop to the nearby bottle shop for a wine. (No corkage charged). We started with mini dim sims and vegetarian spring rolls, both beautifully cooked. I chose Garlic Prawns, and my husband Mongolian Lamb, and steamed rice to share. All dishes on the menu are rated with "chillies" for heat, which is helpful, as well as indicating vegetarian and gluten free dishes. Both mains were delicious, and there were 10 prawns in my serve, which I consider generous. All up only $48, great value. They are open Tuesday to Sunday 5pm - 9pm, and also offer delivery to nearby areas for only $5. They were doing a steady trade in takeaways when we were there. Can't wait to try some more, although I might opt for takeaway, as the automatic air freshener spray was a bit strong for me.

Last week we placed a large order for takeaway, ordered won ton soup only to find it was Lanka soup when we arrived home. Last night decided to try again, placed an order for won ton soup only to be told they were out of soup, then no pork spring rolls. Dim sims were about the size of marbles. The reason the girl gave for not having the things we ordered, was , they have opened another shop in Kingston and all their dumplings , won tons etc were taken to the new premises. I also ordered stir fried rice, only to find steamed rice in my order. We will not be going to this restaurant again, I intend to drive to sandy bay and buy from MeWah, it might be further to go but I can be assured of my order being correct.

We tried takeaway from this restaurant last night as our usual Chinese restaurant in Kingston is closed for renovations.Big mistake, food was inedible & most ended up being thrown out which is a very unusual occurance in our home.Phoned restaurant to complain but no refund offered or an apology.Lesson learned,we definitely wont be back & can't wait for our favourite takeaway to reopen.
