Zizzi restaurant in Brighton is just a couple of minutes walk from the sea front. It is advisable to book in advance as it can get very busy. The food is up to the Zizzi standard, hot and made with fresh ingredients whenever possible. My wife and I go to Zizzis in different areas around where we live, and we have never had a bad meal. They had unfortunately run out of my favorite wine, but a substitute was reccomended which was every bit as good. a restaurant chain I am happy to reccomend.
At Zizzi in Chester we were seated straight away but had to wait a while for our drinks order to be taken. The food was excellent, we had the bruschetta, dough sticks (could have done with some garlic butter) and 3 lovely pasta dishes with a bottle of wine. As the main course was delayed we were offered a complementary glass of Prosecco. Overall the service was a bit slow, but it was worth the wait. I have the NUS student discout card so the price was good too!
This our 2nd meal at Zizzi's in as many weeks. 1st visit we were pleasantly surprised at both the service, it was a busy Saturday night and the food our expectations are not always high for a chain restaurant. The 2nd visit the service was even better our waiter was FANTASTIC! I went back a 2nd time just to have the King Prawn Penne in Vodka Sauce delicious and the closest to well cooked pasta I've had since being in Rome!
Despite turning up 40 minutes late on a busy Saturday evening, we were very well looked after until a table became available 10 minutes later. During the whole meal the service was proffesional and discreet. The food was of a very high standard for a chain and the menu quite extensive. Overall, very impressed and will definitely go back. Went to this restaurant for Valentine’s day. We had a bit of trouble at first with our reservation not being on the list, but as soon as we mentioned that we had booked via open table the waiter showed us to our seats. The service was excellent, food choices were also great, and the ambience was really fitting for valentine’s day.
3 stars for missing options. ordered the margherita and garlic bread. both were very beautiful and a good size. I tested my friends spaghetti pomodoro and it was bland and oily instead of saucy.
