Paradores - Reservar una mesa

We had dinner here one night during our recent stay at the Parador. The restaurant is a little lacking in character, not helped by the fact that when we were there only one other table was occupied when we arrived, although later 2 further tables were taken. The food was however, excellent. My wife and I both started with a half portion of partridge pate, which was very good, although more a mouse than a pate. For mains my wife chose the shoulder of kid which she said was very good, whilst I had the confit of suckling pig. The presentation of the food was very attractive, but my wife suggested that raspberries had no place on a plate with goat. Desserts were interesting an unusual. There was a reasonable, if rather expensive wine list and the local Ronda wine we had was very good. My wife did question a smell that seemed to be coming from the glasses which she thought suggested they had been washed in a dishwasher that needed cleaning. Our waitress suggested this was not the case, and was just Ronda water. Not sure about that.

At the reception We were sent for breakfast to the restaurant, that should be open to public. Well, the unfriendly staff at the Restaurant didn’t agree. We were sent away with the words “just go straight, and gind another place”. Not the fine way of dealing with potential customers, and a good example of how cocky it can get. 100% that I will not bring my next business group to them.

Delicious dishes, fresh local, high quality produce. Lovely service in an oasis of calm. Comparatively few visitors seem to know about this exceptional restaurant and instead visit the tourist traps. The perfect restaurant for a relaxed lunch…with the view. Also exceptional value…and the best ‘loos’ in Ronda!

We had dinner here while we were staying in the hotel. I usually start a review with something positive but I can’t really think of anything. Good had little flavour, service was terrible. Location was good because it was raining and we were happy not to have to walk in the weather

Mediocre overpriced food. You are basically paying for the views. A single Superman waiter takes care of all tables with the expected mediocre service. Unfortunately Ronda, around the tourist center does not offer good quality restaurants.
