we had an amazing experience in el pederniz. the food was great and the owner was so attentive, friendly and also helped us decide what to order. they have also mentioned that they do not sell seafood that are not in season, so they know everything they have is fresh!
“Hidden” according to well. I assume it is not really hidden, as the locals seem to know the restaurant very well, but as not valencian it was just the perfect place for our dinner. the owner is super nice, speaks perfectly English and even asked about allergies. he knows what he's got in the business, what he bought and what the quality of his ingredients is. the recommended were on the spot and we had a nice evening, with several tapas, steak and drinks. the quality was super good, and there was no single point to thank you for having us! 5/5 recommend.
Very nice little place in the centre of Valencia. The food is delicious and the service very friendly and helpful!
Review in English: Outstanding. We have had several dinners in Valencia and this was the best. Grilled baby Squid (amazing), 3 mushroom in scrambled eggs (OMG; I am getting hungry just thinking about it again), croquette trio, and by request a paella mariscos (the best of 3 in 3 days). The owner is a wonderful man who cares a lot about his restaurant and providing his guests with a great experience from both a culinary and service perspective. The restaurant has a nice decor with photos of Valencia circa 1900s in a cozy comfortable atmosphere. I can't say enough good things El Pederniz, so I will leave it at: Go there now. You will not be disappointed.
We find the trough reviews as we need to have lunch near the AVE train station in Valencia. We were favorably impressed by the quality of he food. Followed the recommendations of the owner and have a really nice lunch and great quality at a reasonable price. Recommended place just 10 mins walk from the station.
Homemade meatballs are great and so was the sea bass. Service was wonderful as well. They speak great English which was nice for us as well.
