This restaurant is very ordinary in terms of its decore, the ambiance is cafe style. The view is partial if you get a strategically placed table. The 'loos are clean and accessible. This is where you have breakfast if you are staying at the Goodearth. The Continental Breakfasts are more than adequate, the full hot breakfasts are nutritious and comprehensive: Baked Beans; Bacon; Grilled Tomatoes; Hash Browns; Boiled Eggs; Fried Eggs; Fried Rice; sausages; sometimes, Flap Jacks. There is a choice of fruit juices and tomato juice. You can have cheeses and nuts. It was a real pleasure using this intimate dining room not only for dinner but also breakfast.For the mains I had crispy skin salmon, spinach on top of scallop potatoes.The salmon was moist, transparent and the crispy skin so tasty., portion size just right.Breakfast, self serve, fresh cage free eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, hash browns,cereal, yogurt, etc. etc. teas, coffee, juice. The price quite cheap.The wine list is quite goodService equally as good.
I am not sure what goes on in that kitchen but what comes out is pretty bad indeed. Breakfast was included in my stay but after the first 2 mornings I did not bother. I had only one dinner (Chicken Parmigiana Burger and Chips). It was the special of the day and it tasted as if they cooked it 10am and kept it warm until needed at 6pm. I had probably 2 bites (both the burger and chips were overcooked, dry and generally tasteless). Hugely disappointing.
An OK restaurant in the Goodearth Hotel. The decor is pleasant and the waitstaff are extremely polite and attentive. The food was good, generous servings and reasonably priced. I thought the price for a glass of wine was a little high.Overall a decent place to go for a meal but not a place that would be very memorable.

Decided to eat there as staying at the Goodearth Hotel. We was reminded of kitchen closure time (9pm) so sat down at 7.30pm.... main meal arrived before we finished the starters and as people left they were packing away tables around us. Food was ok and staff friendly but wouldn't go there again.
We were at the hotel on wed and thur for business trip. We had dinner at the hotel on Thur night. The worse dinner ever! The food was cold, tasteless and raw! The chef was very rude. We will definitely stay at the hotel but never eat at the restaurant!
Nicely presented family style meal, we had the night's specials which were tasty and really good value. Friendly waitress and pleasant surroundings, we were staying in the hotel so it was an added bonus to have such a good restaurant in house.
Food was beautifully cooked and plentiful. Not a lot of variety but what there was, was really nice. My only disappointment was the oysters kilpatrick - too spicy, oysters too small, overcooked. I enjoyed everything else.

A simple breakfast selection for $20 but could be outstanding if more attention was paid to keeping the area clean from spills and the flow better arranged. The evening menu looked like standard fare but seemed expensive.
We dined with a friend and between us sampled a number of dishes from seafood to steak. Very quiet on a Friday evening, happy with the experience.
