Always a great experience. Been eating here since they were at Sweet Auburn Market downtown. The arepas are delicious but consider the pabellon cachapa! My husband doesn’t eat meat so it would be awesome if they had an alt meat option. Last time I was there I got the vegetarian cachapa thinking it would have all the good stuff my pabellon one did (black beans, cheese, plantains, peppers, sans meat) but it was just the cachapa filled with veggies. Eating the food at Arepa Mia is like getting a hug from your grandmother- makes you feel wholesome. Every plate is made with love and always fresh (and tasty). This restaurant is a gem in Atlanta- one of the healthiest places I’ve found since moving from LA. The staff all warm and friendly. Can’t recommend this place enough. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Absolute favorite “sandwich” in Atlanta. Wish there was one in every neighborhood. I go for the pescado arepa when I want something on the lighter side and the asada negro when I want the full flavored, stick to my ribs meal. Can’t go wrong with any of the selections! These people acted like a bunch of power-tripping nazis during the fake pandemic. They freaked out on me for using the wrong door to leave, despite no one being around me. The crazy is strong here. The food is fairly good but very overpriced.
