Bayside and Lounge

The food at the restaurant was delicious, although not spectacular - just really good. However, our waitress was lacking in service. Despite appearing friendly, she made us feel as though we needed to apologize for our requests and gave us the occasional eye roll. She also seemed to have trouble with her memory, constantly misplacing her note pad and struggling to remember anything without it. It was Valentine's Day and the restaurant was busy, so our drinks took longer to arrive than our food. We ended up spending about 1.5 hours there and my second drink, which was ordered before our food arrived, didn't make it to the table until we were ordering dessert. Breakfast with the 3 of us was relaxed and enjoyable. The service was timely and the server accommodating but there were very few people in the dining room for most of our meal. Two of us ordered pancakes and the third ordered a senior’s breakfast. The only complaint we have is that we had to wait for syrup and jams to be brought to the table, items that should have been there before the hot food was delivered.

The food, service, and ambiance at this restaurant were exceptional. It has become our favorite spot for fine dining. Since moving to Parksville in August 2023, we have dined at Bayside four times. The special menus for New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day were top-notch and deserving of five stars.

We requested a half or smaller portion of the seafood Cobb salad and were refused. The portion size was too big and not suitable for taking home as it becomes too soggy. The Qualicum Beach Inn serves smaller portions of the same salad with higher quality seafood. Reserva una mesa ahora

Went for breakfast with another couple. Excellent service and superb food: omelettes, regular Bennie and Crab Cake Bennie. Table for 4 with a view of the bay sure nice when the tide is in, which it was. We will return. Thanks to our server and the kitchen staff.

The daytime ambience is superb but not for an evening meal Lacks intimacy. The hand peeled shrimp for my Shrimp sandwich was scrumptious. Our server was excellent. Delightful young lady. Will be back again for a lunch.

Fantastic service and quality fresh seafood! We had the seared scallops and seared ahi tuna steak and mushroom ravioli which were absolutely fantastic! Good wine selection! Highly recommend!
