In parksville for a girls getaway and we wanted sushi we had heard good things about Sushi Ichi and thought we should go there. Don't judge a book by its cover, when you first walk in the restaurant could use some love but it is very clean. The server was very friendly, nice and accommodating. This was a Friday night and we did not have a rest. It got busy quick glad we got there when we did or we night have not got in. We order the Mahi Mahi Tempura (daily special) Agedashi tofu to start. The staff are excellent, we had a younger woman serve us who was very kind. They only had 2 servers for the dinner rush so things took a little longer but they were so busy and rushing, that we didn't end up waiting too long. Taking to her, they are very short staffed, as everyone seems to be.Sushi was good, and we will be back, but so much of it was filled with cooked fish, which we much prefer true sushi ?

After 6 years of patronage, I know this product and it has the BEST GOMAI around. The Nigiri Box is delicious but two pet peeves are. 1. The Chicken teriyaki is cubed and feels.tastes processed. 2. The tempura is great BUT they put the egg plant on the bottom and it turns soggy every time. That wrecks the experience of eating it, No one likes soggy batter. The rest is very very good.,

This place is always busy, for dine in and take out! Each time I go there is a wait for food, the server is very open about this.So don't expect quick food service, yet it is worth the wait.Dakota is an excellent server and super friendly!There's parking out front and on the side of the restaurant.All staff work hard here and the sushi is fresh and yummy! Really wanted to like this place but it just wasn't very good. We just had some basic rolls like California Rolls, Avocado Rolls with some Tempura which wasn't too bad. Also got a Dynamite Roll and a lousy Kame Kaze Roll. (The flying fish roe was not good) The service was good, servers were friendly but unfortunately the food tonight was so-so.

This delightful classic sushi restaurant in the heart of Parksville had the freshest sushi, sashimi and Maki rolls. The Toro was so fresh and we shared the D-rich, Kamikaze and Summer Rolls all perfectly packed and rolled with fresh fish, avocado and Tobiko.

The decor hasn't changed in over ten years so feels a bit dated service was fine but the food quality felt like it was lacking just seemed basic and mid lvl nothing wrong w it but it was over all just ok so I won't be coming

Have been eating in a getting take out from sushi ichi for 15 years. Never, not once have there been any quality issues, consistent and fresh food every time. Decently priced and delicious. Reserva una mesa ahora
