Châteaudun is not an easy place in which to find a reasonable meal on a Sunday. We tried the Centre Ville but there was an car rally event there and all the restaurants and bars were packed. These are the same restaurants and bars that are closed on a Sunday evening. Our hotel was actually out of town and in a small development of supermarkets and a couple of family eateries – a McDonalds and a Buffalo Grill. We t was a Hobson’s Choice for us and we don’t particularly like burgers and generally we avoid ‘Grill’ type restaurants. I have to say though the food at Buffalo Grill was remarkably good and I enjoyed my chicken wings and the Caesar’s Salad and my partner quite enjoyed her Chicken Caj...
We often go to Buffalo Grill when we are passing through France; the kids love it. This particular one was very good (some are not). Easy parking, good service, food was up to scratch, kids happy. So we would recommend it if you are looking for good, cheap convenient food for families when visiting the Loire valley. It wasn't busy when we visited unlike some of the other BGs we have been to.
We enjoyed our meal on our way to Chartres. We are from New Jersey and my husband likes BBQ he really liked the ribs and the corn was spectacular except that the restaurant does not carry butter for the baked potato.
