Le Vesuve - Reservar una mesa

Service terriblement mauvais : pour prendre une commande et pour être servis (salade) et la troisième personne n’a jamais été servie pour une pizza ! La direction a ignoré la situation dans la salle et n’a pas pris la peine de venir voir....Très décevant et agaçant ! La direction est lamentable ! On Saturday December, we encountered a poor service at the restaurant and certainly from the kitchen. We asked to speak to the manager. We had a bad time waiting so long hours and to be served (salads) and the third person never had his meal (pizza) . The manager ignored us and the situation in the restaurant. We left angry and frustrated. It's a shame

This was our third visit to this restaurant, and we had always been pleased with the food and service, but this last visit was not good. OK it was a busy Friday night (aren't they always but we were asked to wait minutes...for the table to be cleared, and then another hour to get our pizza and bruscheta. We weren't the only ones looking around to see who was being served one cook and one server clearly weren't enough. As for the pizza, it was OK, a bit meanly garnished, and the bruscheta was lacking the advertised fresh herbs with the salad. We didn't bother to have a dessert nor a coffee. The service was neutral, certainly not welcoming

Coming back from a demanding surfing vacation my gf and I stopped at Chateaudun for an overnight stay. Following trip advisors advice we chose Le Vesuve as our restaurant for dinner. The place was absolutely perfect. For starters we ate an italian salad and as...main dish we had the forestian pasta and the pizza napolitana. Every dish was well prepared and very tasteful. Together with the ambience and some wine we really had a good experience. Unfortunately we were terribly exhausted from our trip or else we would've stayed and dined much longer. The next time I'm back in Châteaudun I will definitely eat at Le Vesuve

On a one night stopover in Chateaudun we despaired of finding a restaurant open on a Thursday evening....kebab anyone? We noticed a board pointing to a side street and lo and behold we found Vesuve. Immediate friendly welcome by the newest young member of staff.. we discovered this later who let us choose our own table in a stylish clean restaurant. A pave rump steak with delicious Bearnaise sauce and seafood pizza with a carafe of Merlot did not break the bank. The chef cooks in full view with nothing to hide !This place deserves to be busy every night. Tres Bien

A nice restaurant which takes care of its customers. Straight away we were given some nibbles with our aperitif and overall the service was very good. The pizza were not the best I have ever had but were good all the same, the deserts were...nice and the house rose was very palatable. Good value for money and overall the restaurant left a good impression especially with the friendly and efficient service
