Calaveras Mexican Cantina & Tequila Bar

I researched this restraunt online and the expectation against reality was very disappointing. the entry feels like a cheap stripe joint, at the top of the stairs is a downrunning bar and an outdated dirty room. dusty, stinking and loud. all this would have been acceptable if we were not presented an exorbitant price for the midst of street cocktails and paid, lustless eating. both looked and tasted like the last few minutes guests and there was very little in the pantry. I visited this restaurant , for my birthday with family last year . I was seeing family up in Newtown , and spent the night having dinner here .The food was amazing , the service was great , we were served by a girl that did an amazing job for her second shift . Good food . Good Alcohol . Great atmosphere

The service and food was great! And that watermelon rosè sangria jug was so delicious we had to get two! Even came through again some time after dinner for take-away churros on the way home! Would recommend to my mates! Thanks again!

the eating was very average explained it to the manager who did not care and replied that he served thousands of happy customers every week. they will not waste their money over price will be restaurant.

great night! great service and fantastic eating. would definitely come back for more tequila shots and good times! the margaritas were also amazing!
